Mission Statement: To provide opportunities to the students of Chain of Lakes Key Club and Polk State Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School that build character, leadership, inclusiveness, kindness, and caring through the education of schoolchildren, especially in the areas of reading and writing. We hope to involve not only our student body but other members of the communities we assist, in order to ensure that the program reaches a wide audience and leaves a lasting impact. Through our activities, we hope that the program will refine the literacy of its participants and inspire a love of reading and appreciation of literature in them.

Projects
- Book Drive- Chain of Lakes Key Club is eager to accept donations of any child-friendly books, and in turn donate all books received to libraries of schools in need. Our drop-off center is in the front office of Chain of Lakes Collegiate High School, located on the Polk State College Winter Haven Campus. Donations are happily accepted all year long!
- Read-A-Thon- Our volunteers are always enthusiastic about hands-on work, and this is never more apparent than on the day of a Read-A-Thon. Chain of Lakes Key Club visits schools, especially those who are recipients of book drives, and reads to the children in one of the most touching and impactful service projects of the year.
- PEP Center Tutoring- Once a week, our volunteers visit the after school program at the Polk Education Partnership (PEP) Center and tutor the children there in their English studies. The opportunity to work one-on-one to help them improve and achieve is one that we are incredibly thankful for!
